- Found in the arctic regions of North America, Europe, Asia, Greenland, and Iceland.
- Nests on cliff ledges or abandoned nests of other birds.
- Spends time in the winter on sea ice.
- Natural predator is the Golden Eagle.
- Eats grouse, gulls, crows, waders, geese, voles, lemmings and other small animals.
